Notice is hereby given that; Huerfano County is accepting applications for an HR Officer in the Administration Department. This is a full-time position; the position is benefit eligible with a salary of $40,000. to $55,000. exempt position.

Performs routine and professional duties in coordinating personnel functions of the County. Administers the County’s Personnel Policies and maintains personnel information files. Oversees the benefits program insuring all required communications are distributed in a timely manner, coordinates benefits enrollment, and processes necessary forms. Coordinates and oversees Work Comp claims and processes forms in a timely manner. The person holding this position initiates their own daily assignments, prioritizes workload, follows through on matters, and uses independent judgment and skills to take appropriate actions to deal with standard recurring situations. Works under the supervision of the County Administrator.

A pre-employment Drug Test and a Background Investigation will be required.
