HCNotify: Stay Informed and Stay Safe
Huerfano County has launched HCNotify, a new community alert system designed to keep residents and visitors informed during emergencies and other critical situations.
HCNotify replaces the previous CodeRED system and provides faster, more flexible, and more reliable communication when it matters most.
IMPORTANT: Current and Previous CodeRED Users
If you are currently signed up for CodeRED, or have been signed up in the past, you are not automatically enrolled in HCNotify. To continue receiving emergency alerts, you must sign up for the new system.
What is HCNotify?
HCNotify is a free public safety alert service that sends important notifications from Huerfano County and other state and local authorities. Alerts may include information about:
- Severe weather
- Wildfires and evacuations
- Road closures and traffic safety
- Flooding or infrastructure issues
- Other public safety emergencies
You choose how you receive alerts—by text message, phone call, or email—based on what works best for you.
HCNotify is powered by Motorola Rave and Smart911, platforms trusted by thousands of government agencies, schools, and organizations nationwide
