“Fiesta Park The softball and baseball fields at Fiesta Park are, naturally, intended for softball and baseball, but are also sometimes used for youth soccer.  The softball field is lit for night games and has restrooms available for much of the year. If you are a non-profit in the area interested in being a food concessionaire during league play or would like to hold a tournament at the softball fields please contact the Recreation Coordinator Joshua House at jhouse@huerfano.us.  Additionally, there is a pavilion that can be rented for special event (Pavilion Policy) as well as horse shoe pits that can be used casually or for tournaments.

Huerfano County Community Center: The gymnasium and the conference room at the Huerfano County Community Center in Walsenburg can both be rented for events including weddings, funerals, craft sales, conferences and the like.  Please use this form (Rental Application) to apply to use the community center.  If your event will include alcohol please also use this form (Open Container Application) and read over these rules (Open Container Rules), as an application must be made to the board of county commissioners.  For further information please email Recreation Coordinator Joshua House at jhouse@huerfano.us

Cuchara Mountain Park: While work is ongoing at the Cuchara Mountain Park to expand operations it is a wonderful place for hiking, disc golfing, mini-golfing, accessing the National Forest and when winter sledding, tubing and limited skiing options.  The Day Lodge can be rented for events, however keep in mind, it has no kitchen space and limited water access.  Please use this form (CMP Rental Application) to apply to use the Day Lodge.  To coordinate a special event using other parts of the Cuchara Mountain Park please email Recreation Coordinator Joshua House at jhouse@huerfano.us
