After a discussion with necessary stakeholders, including all Fire District Chiefs, Huerfano County Sheriff Bruce Newman has lifted the Stage 1 Fire Restrictions as of May 27, 2022.
Please be advised that any requirements for your district regarding permits must be followed and dispatch must be notified of your burn. Even with the moisture received, we are asking all Huerfano County residents and tourists to remain diligent when conducting any type of fire, controlled or not.
