Notice is hereby given that Huerfano County and Huerfano County Economic Development Inc. have opened a fourteen day (14) day period effective December 31, 2025 to accept written comment from the public on the draft application for an EPA Brownfield Cleanup Grant to clean up the properties addressed as 123 through 129 West 7th Street and 135 West 7th Street.
A copy of the application and the draft Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives is available for public review and inspection here:
If the application is selected for funding, the County will be required to finalize the Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives and make it available for additional public review and comment as part of their pre-cleanup activities.
Written comments will be accepted immediately through January 14, 2025 and can be mailed or hand-delivered to:
