Sealed bids for the Fox Theatre Walsenburg Abatement Project will be accepted until Noon on Friday, December 5, 2025 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud at a virtual meeting immediately to follow. Bids will be submitted to Huerfano County through BidNet Direct (www.bidnetdirect.com/colorado/huerfano-county-government).
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held in-person at the Fox Theatre Walsenburg, 715 Main Street, Walsenburg, CO 81089 on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 10AM.
The County will only accept electronic submissions in response to this ITB. Electronic submissions are required to be considered for an award. Please plan for a maximum file size of 2GB.
The project consists of removal, remediation, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint (LBP), and mold-affected materials. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards. Work shall be executed by a licensed abatement contractor and coordinated with other trades.

Bids must be accompanied by the Subcontractor Safety Prequalification Form.

Procedural and technical questions are to be submitted online through Bidnet Direct. Questions will be accepted until Friday, November 21, 2025 at 4PM MT.
Bids must remain in effect for 60 days after the bid opening date. Within 60 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder or reject any or all Bids for the Project.
Huerfano County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities in the Bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of Huerfano County, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids.
