The Huerfano County Board of County Commissioners and the Huerfano County Planning Commission will hold a Joint Public Hearing at 1:30pm on Thursday October 16th, 2025 at the Historic Huerfano County Courthouse. The solar project is proposed on 1,005 acres of private land located ~9.4 miles north-northeast of Walsenburg, ~7 miles north of Hwy 10 (CO-10), ~6.1 miles east of Interstate 25, ~1 mile south of County Road 103 and ~2 miles west of County Road 120.
