The Spanish Peaks Airfield has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26.

The Airport has received Federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, the Spanish Peaks Airfield has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.

The Airport’s overall goal for FY2024 and FY2026 is the following: 3.8% of the Federal financial assistance to be expended in DOT-assisted contracts.

The DBE program, proposed goal, and its rationale are available for inspection by appointment during normal business hours at 401 Main Street, Walsenburg, Colorado 81089, for 30 days following the date of this notice. The Spanish Peaks Airfield and the DOT will accept comments on the goals for 30 days from the date of this notice.

Appointments can be made and comments can be sent to the Owner/Airport, ATTN: Mr. Dustin Hribar, Road and Bridge Superintendent, 401 Main Street, Walsenburg, CO 81089. The Airport will begin using the overall goal at the end of the comment period, unless we have received other instructions from the DOT.
